Abstract

Nanofluidic reverse electrodialysis for harvesting salinity gradient energy has become one of the hot topics in recent years, which has advantages such as simple structure, no pollution, and recycled raw materials. This paper focuses on the transpor of ions in the nanopores under a certain ion concentration difference. By exploring the influences of nanopore geometric factors, convection and temperature difference on salinity gradient power generation, it qualitatively explains the hehind physical mechanisms of nanopore-based power generation. The results present the most intuitive understanding for beginners studying the theory of nanopore-based reverse electrodialysis power generation, and provide theoretical guidance for improving the performance of nanoporesbased power generators.
